Product Condition and Disclosure Standard

Condition statements are item-specific descriptions based on the actual item and known information; they are not guarantees of unused condition or undiscovered defects.

Publication status: This implementation remains marked noindex until the authorized owner and qualified counsel complete the approvals required by the compliance workbook.

Actual-item records

Photographs should show the actual item offered. Editing may change the background or surrounding presentation but should not alter the appearance of the item itself.

Description scope

Known visible wear, stains, odors, structural issues, hardware wear, deterioration, repairs, restoration, replaced parts, alterations, refinishing, servicing, and missing accessories should be described when applicable and supported with photographs where practical.

Included accessories

Boxes, dust bags, straps, locks, keys, receipts, cards, and other accessories should be listed as included only when they accompany the specific item. Their presence is not treated as conclusive authenticity evidence.

Condition labels

Any marketplace condition label should be read together with the complete written description and images. Relative labels such as “excellent” or “very good” must not replace disclosure of material wear or limitations.

Questions

Ask item-specific questions through the eBay listing or by email before purchase. An email response does not reserve the item or change the listing unless the applicable marketplace record is updated.
